Desiree’ LaMarr-Murphy is an alumnus of Overbrook High School.
Hungry as a child, Desiree Lamarr-Murphy, a Philadelphia woman now uses her own house as a food pantry and has gained the attention of Dr. Oz, Rachel Ray and more. Now, during the pandemic, she’s distinguished herself as perhaps the only person in the Philadelphia area who runs a food pantry out of her own home.

The 3rd annual 444 Party, a birthday party for 4 friends who are 4 business leaders, donating 100% of the net proceeds to 4 causes, took place at Rivers Casino at the end of February. As an initiative of a proud recipient organization The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia (The Fund SDP), we thank these gentlemen for their generosity!
